CUTIX 32ND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

the giant cable maker observed her 32nd AGM at Conv-aj Events centre
Nnewi today 30th October 2015. It was quite an organized event, as
her numerous shareholders trooped
in, they were well attended to. Notice of the meeting was read by Ijeoma
Oduonye, the company secretary. The directors declared dividend of 12kobo per
share.
Most of
the shareholders that spoke appreciated the company’s performance in the face
of the current economic situations in Nigeria and recommended that the company
should consider doing a right issue to reduce finance cost. Kayode noted that
CUTIX PLC by virtue of their consistency in dividend has entered Guinness book
of record. Godwin recommended that Measures should be put in place to curb
faking of our products and that a facility visit should be planed. William
suggested that the company should Get tax rebate for the acquisition of new
machines and do product exhibition during AGM.
Election
was made for shareholders representatives in the audit committee, Jude okpala
and Njoku E emerged winners with 178 and 142 votes respectively. O. J Mbonu and Uzochukwu Uzodike were
nominated to represent the directors.
The
shareholders sang for the only Lady on the board, Lady Ifeoma Ofodeme, the lady
was said to be stepping down after 4 years of meritorious service.. The closing
prayer was said by the founder of Cutix Plc, Engr. Ajulu Uzodike as he prayed
for journey mercies, higher dividend and a one-for-one bonus by next year.
